One hard drive with 6 partitions?
Mine is also one hard drive with 6 partitions!
Could it be that having multiple partitions causes errors?

It has nothing to do with the number of partitions. Now it is estimated that it is a problem with the program reading the hard drive parameters. There is no problem if you don't read the parameters. I don't know the reason?
Now most people have no problem, there are individual people with problems, I will check relevant information...

Finally successfully combined with GHOST
USB flash drive booting DOS USB flash drive is considered the first hard drive!
Successfully backed up the second hard drive's first partition, which is the original hard drive's C: (it's NTFS: after loading IFS, TODISK recognizes it as G: and then automatically backs up to the second hard drive's third partition, which is the original hard drive's E: (it's NTFS: after loading IFS, TODISK recognizes it as H:) Description: The format I used is X:Y, P processes the TODISK information!
Successfully restored, the environment is the same as above, restore the just-mentioned GHO file from the second hard drive's third partition, which is the original hard drive's E drive, to the second hard drive's first partition, which is the original hard drive's C. During this period, it automatically searches for the GHO file and automatically confirms the restoration!
But there are still some problems that need to be dealt with now. Just now, it was processed in the USB flash drive directory!
I want to operate in the virtual memory disk, but I don't know what the reason is. After the file is successfully extracted, it always can't jump to one of my P processing files! (I think this problem is not the main one, I'll add CD later)
The problem of TODISK successfully converting NTFS drive letters under DOS has been solved! It's what many people have been longing for! Once again, I sincerely thank GOTOmsdos for the hard work! Thanks!

Test the version that doesn't read parameters. If I have more than 6 partitions, the 7th and subsequent ones can't load drive letters. Adding the -IFS parameter makes it even more messed up, so looking forward to a fix

Please try the latest version in the first post. The previous version could only recognize the first hard disk...
There is no difference between the normal version and the workaround version in this regard. The only difference is whether it reads the hard disk parameters, which is not the main point

The number of partitions does not really matter. Here, I have a total of 40 partitions, all working fine
(There can be a total of 100 partitions, and more can be added...)

Do you have trouble reading the second hard disk or displaying the drive letters of the second hard disk?

The problem of successfully converting the NTFS drive letter under DOS with TODISK has been solved!

After loading NTFSPRO/IFS, DOS and GHOST can already use NTFS drive letters?
Why is there still a need for conversion?

Why convert then?

Under normal circumstances, whether manually found or batch - searched, the GHO files are in the format of drive letter\path\file.gho. If it is NTFS, to be stable, exit NTFSPRO or IFS first. Then the GHOST command line needs the format of X:Y\path\file.GHO. So the drive letter needs to be converted to X:Y in the middle.

The test results with the latest version are as follows:
No. DR P P N : A ID H FILE SYSTEM LABEL START TOTAL MB
1> * 1 *07 HPFS/NTFS 63 4096512 2000
2 07 HPFS/NTFS 4096638 1638567 800

It can be seen that the last drive letter is not displayed, but it actually exists. If the -IFS parameter is added, it is even more chaotic

Haha! No wonder...
Did you forget? DOS does not recognize non-first FAT primary partitions!

A little insight; also a kind of extravagant hope;
Since MINITO has been streamlined, I wonder if the way of displaying information can be changed. Because with the streamlined version, sector information is generally not used (personal understanding); for example, like the following:
c: 1:1 USBZIP-BOOT
G: 2:1 Primary NTFS Act No 1.3 GB 3.7 GB
D: 2:2 Logical FAT 32 No No 14.0 GB 6.0 GB
H: 2:3 Logical NTFS No No 899.9 MB 8.4 GB

N L Type FS Size Active Hidden Label Used Free
1:1 C
2:1 G Primary NTFS 5.0 GB Yes No 1.3 GB 3.7 GB
2:2 D Logical FAT 32 20.1 GB No No 14.0 GB 6.0 GB
2:3 H Logical NTFS 9.3 GB No No 899.9 MB 8.4 GB
2:4 E Logical FAT 32 20.1 GB No No 10.3 GB 9.8 GB

Of course, if the action is very big, there is no need to change it! And it's my personal idea! We can solicit the opinions of others! Now I'm already very satisfied with the current situation!
As for the first primary partition, the difference between Primary and * is not big!

Well, that makes sense. No problem, make a change, it's a piece of cake... Actually, it's just to replace the number/sector information with PRIMARY/LOGICAL and the remaining space..

Many thanks! Also very touched! Once again, I'm bothering you!
Can you see if the display of TODISK -D can be similar to the display mode of GDISK?
Disk Partitions Cylinders Heads Sectors Mbytes Model
1 1 503 16 32 125.8 UNKNOWN
2 6 9729 255 63 76319.1 UNKNOWN
Compare it. The Partitions display of GDISK shows the difference of how many partitions each disk has. The others should be similar, right?
Actually, can TODISK -D remove the > these symbols? I don't know the function of these symbols. Are they to make it more clear? (I don't know the function of these symbols, is it to make it more clear?)

The test results are the same as the latest version of the first post. minito crashes, but minito- is okay.

I don't know how to understand that DOS doesn't recognize non-first FAT primary partitions, because I can normally access 2 primary partitions under DOS, as follows:
This is the result of DRVTYPES, where drive C and drive K are the second primary partition and the fourth primary partition, in FAT32 format, and can be directly accessed under DOS (the first primary partition is NTFS, which can be accessed after loading IFS)
A: Removable Drive
B: Removable Drive
C: Fixed Drive
D: Fixed Drive
E: Fixed Drive
F: Fixed Drive
G: Fixed Drive
H: Fixed Drive
I: Fixed Drive
J: Fixed Drive
K: Fixed Drive
Z: RAM Drive
The following is the result of the MINITO modified version
No. DR P P N : A ID H FILE SYSTEM LABEL START TOTAL MB
1> * 1 *07 HPFS/NTFS 63 5124672 2502
* 2 1 C: 0B FAT32 NO NAME 5124735 208845 101
3 2 D: 06 FAT16(>=32M) 5333643 96327 47
4 3 E: 06 FAT16(>=32M) 5430033 64197 31
5 4 F: 06 FAT16(>=32M) 5494293 48132 23
6 5 G: 06 FAT16(>=32M) 5542488 16002 7
7 6 H: 06 FAT16(>=32M) 5558553 16002 7
8 7 I: 06 FAT16(>=32M) 5574618 16002 7
9 8 J: 06 FAT16(>=32M) 5590683 48132 23
*10 0B FAT32 NO NAME 5638815 1028160 502
It can be seen that drive K is not displayed
(I changed the virtual machine, don't compare with my previous information)

Can the display of TODISK -D be made similar to the display method of GDISK?

No problem, just customize it according to your requirements...
