(LH DOSKEY LH KILLER) What command is LH? I couldn't find it among either internal or external commands.

Why don't you just explain the meaning of the statements in AUTOEXEC.BAT? I couldn't find any article about this.

Because I set the virtual drive letter to O; if you look at the statement above for setting the virtual drive, you'll know.
lh means loading the program into upper memory. %RAMD% is the virtual drive created in memory.
As for explaining batch commands, that's too troublesome, so you should start another thread and let everyone talk about it.

Why is README.TXT gone?

One suggestion: after downloading, the extracted file really shouldn't be a Windows self-extracting EXE file. It would be better if it were directly in IMG format or a DOS self-extracting file, because when some people see an EXE file, they often don't realize it's actually in ZIP format.

Oh, some people don't know how to extract imz. Because of space limitations I removed the readme. I'll definitely correct it next time......

Master Rushi, hello! I extracted your “instant Chinese-enabled boot disk” with the unregistered version of WinImage 6.10. It cannot boot on my 845GL motherboard. It shows Remove disks or other media

Also, I used XP to make a boot disk keeping only IO.SYS, MSDOS.SYS, and COMMAND.COM, deleted the other files, then copied the rest of your “instant Chinese-enabled boot disk” files onto the floppy. It can boot to the menu, but when I choose 2 or 3 it hangs at
LowDMA(haftmann#software 11/01): must not reside in UMB .

I use romdos partly because of space, and partly because of the hard disk logical lock. I positioned this disk as a repair disk. It’s not the same as wengier’s system disk.. As for the 845 motherboard issue, that does indeed exist, and I’m working on improving it..
wengier’s boot disk also has corresponding problems on a small number of motherboards..

All right, after reading it I should still register to support it!

Don’t know why, but I used winimage to make it into an ima file, then booted 98 with a virtual machine (vmware), and there was no response at all. It didn’t say it wasn’t a system disk, and there was no other prompt either, it just kept going.

Bump my ass. I downloaded it and tried it, and it just keeps rebooting nonstop. Where’s the Chinese support below... fake fake fake!!@!

This boot disk is in a non-standard 1.68m format, so don’t try to run it directly inside a virtual machine using the image file.
Some driver files are not loaded in the config file; if needed you can add them yourself.
If there are any problems, feel free to bring them up.

Thanks! Downloaded it. You always like using IMZ files. The floppy extracted by my WinImage can’t boot the computer. Why not use an IMG file?
