This depends on what kind of sound card you have. Different sound cards usually need different drivers.

OP, could you send the 2.51 you localized into Chinese to my email? (I really can't download it from your site, no way around it, and I don't have the patience to do the Chinese localization myself now.) 2G MSN email: xuantian_li@msn.com , and also a few msn8 and live mail invites..... :)

QV has a lot of features, but unfortunately there are also many machines it can't be used on, because sound card drivers can't be found anywhere.
Better just use MPXPLAY to have some fun.

Where can I download it? They're all unregistered versions. I hope the moderator can upload the software when posting, that would be more convenient. A lot of LINKs are dead.
