1. I don't know whether the several posters above have actually done this in practice. 2. Boot from a USB flash disk, and mount a USB-CDROM and a USB-interface hard disk. 3. Boot the computer from USB-CDROM, and mount USB-CDROM and a USB hard disk. Need to complete 2 and 3.

It means making a DOS system disk on a USB hard disk partition! The method is to right-click the primary partition of the USB hard disk ---- format ----- transfer system.

You can right-click the primary partition of the USB hard disk ---- format and see whether "transfer system" is available. If it is, then it can be done under XP.

Looks like it won't work!
Have you tried using GHOST to boot the system? If GHOST is installed onto the USB-HDD and then booted, I wonder if that would work?

After installing GHOST, when starting the system it asks whether to enter GHOST. So can GHOST be installed directly onto a USB-HDD to boot the machine?

I'll give you a GHOST image, GHOST it onto the USB-HDD and use it to boot the machine.

When setting up a system for someone else, it takes half an hour or even an hour each time. If there were an image file, it could be done in ten minutes. Does anyone have a wihxp image file?

For a winxp image file, you can run winnt under DOS and back up the image file when it restarts!

I made it, but it doesn't recognize a 60G hard disk formatted as NTFS. It can recognize the CD-ROM drive. Hope an expert can solve the hard disk problem. Booting from a flash drive and running KV2005, KV2005 can find the hard disk though. So frustrating.

Is it GHOST that doesn't recognize the 60G hard disk formatted as NTFS? If so, then use 8.X!
