Actually we can't demand too much from everything; nothing is perfect.
Even XP at over 1G can't install all drivers, so how can you demand more things in a space of only a few dozen megabytes?
As long as a small thing is made well and refined, that's enough; it can't cover everything.

Has anyone used WinXP Embedded? I think it's better than WinPE. It supports sound, and the interface is similar to WinXP, but unfortunately it has a time limit, and it's slow.

At present XPE is still in the experimental stage, and there is only an English version, so it cannot be built or modified. It can only be aimed at a certain aspect. So compared with PE, PE has more research value. It can be brought into full play. From my use of 2000－Embedded and NT－Embedded, networking is far inferior to PE. PE currently has no sound only because M$ set it that way, but it won't be forever!

Can DOS as a terminal have true color and sound? Could you explain in a bit more detail? What connection software did you use?

If it's like this, then with one floppy disk you can run programs under win2000!

Load the NIC driver under DOS, connect to the terminal server, install the DOS terminal client program ---> ok:
