Use the MSDOS71T.IMG image to convert to 2.88 format. I tried to test the USB drive recognition while booting from XP. I inserted the USB drive, but then it froze at the stage of decompressing VC and reaching 100%.
It is suggested that the owner give up the 1.44 - format floppy disk mode. Soft drives are rarely used now. Directly use 2c88 - above format in image mode to boot from XP and the USB drive. There is no need to decompress related files during the boot process. Multiple decompressions may cause unnecessary errors.
Thanks to the owner for providing all the boot disks!

I used BCDW to boot and test it on the CD. My Sony 2GB USB flash drive has no driver problems. It's just that UMBPCI can't recognize my motherboard, and the relevant options about UMBPCI have not been tested.

This boot disk was tried out under DOS before, and it's easier to enter a clean state. As for the USB drive recognition, it's mainly due to the original driver issue. My USB drive has two partitions. When booting from the USB drive, it can reach A:, but there's an issue with recognizing the second partition. I can see the directory but can't access the files. Maybe DOS (FAT) doesn't support it. It works normally under PE and XP.
Your boot disk can be imaged and used under XP in the future. The image can be a bit larger after all, because we don't need to compress multiple times. Maybe we need to follow the times and not be limited to floppy drives.
