Flash it into award bios using the method below:

cbrom oldbios.bin /isa grldr.bin

When the computer starts to the logo stage, press the spacebar to boot (there is a prompt on the screen, but the time is very short).

Actually the screen prompt, waiting time, and hotkey can all be customized, for example:

grub-mkimage -m "Boot GRLDR" -t 5 -k F10 -s 0 romgrub.img grldr.mbr grldr.bin

Prompt message: Boot GRLDR
Waiting time: 5 seconds
Hotkey: F10

Also, a question:
Is romgrub.bin in the command line your earlier romboot.img?
Is this romboot.img also applicable to later versions of grldr.mbr?

Yes, romgrub.bin should be changed to romgrub.img.

romgrub.img is universal, and it is compatible with all versions of grldr.mbr.

Once Master bean stepped in, the problem was solved. There’s also the customization tool grub-mkrom.exe, which is great. Thanks

Just use the name directly. It’s the same as the way hotkeys are represented in grubinst, for example:
ctrl-a, alt-b, esc, ctrl-alt-f1, f9 ，ins, del, ...

For this kind of thing, it’s best to just watch the excitement. If you’re not a technical fanatic, it’s better not to try it.

I’ve flashed all sorts of things. After flashing them in, there were many problems, and not one of them gave me peace of mind.

It’s easier to use than all the versions I found before. In the future I won’t need USB flash drive or CD booting anymore.
