The machine's CD drive is already broken. Can we still install FREEDOS in the BIOS?

Well, my computer is fixed. I tested it and it can definitely boot FREEDOS.

But things are not as good as I thought. After flashing, the graphics card module error is always displayed when booting. It can start normally, but I have to press F1 every time to proceed. It's very troublesome!
When booting, I have to keep pressing some hotkey at the very beginning! Otherwise, I can't get in.
After finally getting in, there's nothing there. It means the path to SHEL is missing.
It's really hard to figure out. It's very troublesome.
Later, I found another module to make the motherboard support USB boot and flashed it in.
The situation is similar. After getting in, either there's this error or it stops responding. I have to cold boot to make it work.

I tried it, heh heh. But the functionality of FREEDOS is indeed very weak, mainly limited by the capacity of the BIOS chip. I'm thinking if I can replace it with a larger chip and put GHOST, PQMAGIC and such in it, then that would be really cool, wouldn't it

The几位 in front,
It's not necessary to use a floppy disk to flash the BIOS. You can also boot DOS from a CD and then flash it in the hard drive.
A Windows 98 boot CD can also be used. No matter how you boot, remember not to load HIMEM and EMM386,
You can press F5 or hold down the SHIFT key during boot to bypass it.
There is also a safe way to flash on a disk, that is, take out the disk with the written BIOS file, put it back, and then copy it to the hard drive (that is, read it), which is reliable.

My BIOS is from AMI. I had flashed a higher version before, but it bricked. There was no way. I went to the computer city and the programmer couldn't fix it. The chip was also burned because I didn't insert it correctly once. Finally, a master suggested updating with the lowest version of the BIOS and replaced the BIOS chip, and then it was okay.

If it's not reversed, it's static electricity that caused the damage. The possibility of the chip itself being damaged is very small. The software can't burn it at all.

Hehe, really powerful, I don't know if my computer can do it! Will the BIOS operation failure affect boot?
