I also did this, using the fdd format, but in the bios I selected zip as the boot item. I tried booting with fdd but it didn't succeed, I don't know the reason.

I also agree. I made a bootable USB drive with a Teclast 4G yesterday. I tried several methods, but after booting, there was only a "—" flashing on the screen. Later, I found that the USB drive is not compatible with other DOS systems; it seems only Windows 98 is compatible. So I replaced the two boot files with those from Windows 98, which are command and io, and left the other one unchanged. Then, it booted successfully.
