In VMware, after loading IFS, the three hotkeys don't respond. Only after using nd -c to exit IFS can they be used. On the real machine and VPC, the three hotkeys can be used.

Since there is no problem in VPC and the real machine, and only sometimes there is no response in a certain virtual machine (VMware) (usually pressing a few more times in VMware will make it respond), then it is a problem with that virtual machine itself. There is a SHUTDOWN program in my boot disk. After booting, just enter SHUTDOWN R directly on the command line to have the same effect as this hotkey, or first XMSMAN -C and then press.

Today I updated the website and added this IFS driver (in the "Drivers" category). It already includes Chinese, Japanese, and Korean code pages. You can directly use the LOAD command to load it, and use the UNLOAD command to exit at any time, which is very convenient. The download address is: http://help.cn-dos.net/soft/ifsdrv.zip

It's rare that the webmaster is really considerate, reporting the bug to the author at the fastest speed.
IFS 4.01 comes from Paragon Partition Manager 8.0 Enterprise Edition. The standalone version of IFS may be 3.5. Version 3.5 has issues with Chinese file names and NTFS support..
Version 3.5 can run Ghost without exiting. I have tested version 8.2 and it can run normally, but I haven't tested version 8.3.

Ask a very noob question: Since IFS itself supports long file names, but I found that AUTOEXEC.BAT in dosntfs.img also runs DOSLFN.EXE. Is this a bit redundant???

I haven't tried the conflict problem between IFS and Ghost. I saw it mentioned in the MaxDOS instruction file. The fact that IFS itself supports long file names means it supports long file names in NTFS partition format. DOSLFN cannot support NTFS partition format.

Basically clear! Please ask Wengier to pin the stable DOSNTFS.IMG to the top~~
I have used almost 80% of the boot disks available online, and I still think this one is the best.

Suggest changing the topic name of this post to "About Reading and Writing NTFS Partitions (IMG/DRV) under DOS", the current title is really misleading!
my major is english----my love is dos----my teacher is the buddha----my friends--how about U

MS-DOS 7.01 also has IFS stuff, but without DOSLFN support it is incomplete, and even can be said to be poor. Besides DOSLFN, there is also a unicode .tbl file to load!

Actually, you can use omnifs.exe to read and write the main NTFS partition under DOS, so there's no need to discuss it so laboriously. omnifs.exe supports long filenames and Chinese filenames. It's a very useful software.
For example:
omnifs dir 2.3:"\My Heart Has Only You Me\About Reading and Writing NTFS Partitions under DOS (IMG/DRV)"
It means to display the files in the subdirectory "About Reading and Writing NTFS Partitions under DOS (IMG/DRV)" under the directory "My Heart Has Only You Me" on the 3rd partition of the 2nd hard drive.

omnifs is convenient to use, but it's too slow. It takes about 4 seconds to execute a command. If there's a floppy drive, it will go to read the floppy drive. It doesn't support wildcards, which is a little bit of a shortcoming...

Under FreeDOS, I saw a window interface embedded operating system called PowsdeRTOS. It runs directly under FreeDOS. I downloaded a demo version, and the effect is good.
