I now have 2003 installed on my server, and I'm currently writing a related article. I'll upload it here for everyone to comment on later. My FTP: 202.192.202.18 has Windows 2003 under

For the general users, Windows 2000 is sufficient enough.

For home users, using Windows 9X is the best. If you buy a very large server, then you should use NT series.

I love Windows 98 SE.

Troublesome to shut down in 2003, and not easy to start up either

These days I feel that 2000 seems pretty good, when to try it out...

Shutting down in 2003 can be done without a reason: The Shutdown Event Tracker is also a setting that distinguishes Windows Server 2003 from other workstation systems. For servers, this is a necessary choice, but it's not useful for workstation systems. We can also disable it. Open "Start" -> "Run" -> type "gpedit.msc", in the left part of the window that appears, select "Computer Configuration" -> "Administrative Templates" -> "System", double-click "Shutdown Event Tracker" in the right window, select "Disabled" in the dialog box that appears, click "OK" to save and exit, and then you will see a shutdown window similar to Windows 2000.

I used Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition for a period of time recently. I think it's good in terms of security. It starts up a bit faster than XP. But it doesn't support 16-bit programs. There are a few incompatibilities or poor compatibility with 32-bit programs. There's nothing else I feel about it, it's about the same!

Alas! Many people don't go to experiment, just speak based on imagination, really sad......

I just say one point: I installed it for the sake of the net framework of win2003. Originally I used win98, to enter this forum often ten times there are nine times can't open, but with win2003 there is not once can't open, and also very fast, this isn't refreshing what?

Really good still doesn't come to 2003, XP is currently the top. 2003 good? Really don't know where to start, do you see $M introduction? Unless your hardware is using SCSI series, still 64-bit. Memory at least 256

That's thoughtful! But you can also experiment. You know I'm a newbie. I'll try my best to answer your questions. Don't be annoyed with me, okay?

1. Does "same environment" refer to hardware environment? I wonder if dual systems on the same machine meet the requirement?
2. Does "same access method" refer to the Internet connection method? I've always been in the LAN of my company.
3. Same time? I need to restart to enter another system. I don't know if this time difference counts as different.
4. The IE version of Win98 is 6.0.2600, and the IE version of Win2003 is 6.0.3790.0. I can't make them "same", and besides, the two systems are originally different.
5. Does "install all patches" refer to Windows Update? If so, I think I can do it.

Sorry! I don't know if I understand correctly?

Did your 98 install antivirus and firewall software or something like that?

After talking so much, why is no one saying that one is front-end optimization and the other is back-end optimization? For individual users, there's no need for me to say more, right?

Display properties => Settings => Advanced => Troubleshooting
Set hardware acceleration to maximum

Start => Run => dxdiag => Display

Enable Direct3D acceleration
Enable AGP texture acceleration

Start => Administrative Tools => Services => Set Windows Audio to Automatic

I installed Unicom broadband and used a virtual dialer program, but it just doesn't work on 2003. It's unpleasant. I'm even more unhappy with Unicom broadband
