My Views and Suggestions on the Forum for a Period of Time - China DOS Union Forum

There is also a question that I've always wanted to bring up:
It is recommended to change the link of the icon in each section on the homepage to open in a new window when clicked, while keeping the text link to open in the current window. Just like the way posts are opened in the post list of each section. It can also be considered whether to remove the default Discuz! icons in each section on the homepage and replace the original positions with crystal icons.

Regarding the issue of forum icons, I remember that fdsiuha once said that if the flashable icon with the A-shaped square in the forum is removed, it will be impossible to tell if there are new threads, and thus the forum will lose an important function. Later, willsort proposed in a private message the suggestion of adding the functions of the original A-shaped square to the crystal icon. I gave him a detailed reply at that time, that is, since this involves a large change to the default settings of the forum and requires a large-scale modification of the forum code, and at the same time, two crystal icons need to be made for each section, one flashing and the other not flashing (that is, the function of the original icon with the A-shaped square), so unless there are PHP experts and icon-making experts to help, this will be relatively difficult to implement in practice.

Regarding the issue of the "Miscellaneous" section, please see the further discussion here:
