That's why exchange is so important. I often feel that we Taiwanese are like frogs at the bottom of a well, not liking to interact with people from other places (I'm the exception..... hehe)

Taiwan and other places have dialects too, but everyone understands the standard language, and everyone speaks Putonghua too (also called Guoyu).

I can't really speak my dialect either (actually I don't even speak the dialect here very well myself, because I've spoken standard Chinese since childhood).
