It doesn't work. The computer freezes after loading the USB hard drive late.

I am the webmaster of DOS Home http://doshome.com. My "Super Emergency Disk" has been released on www.skycn.com and others. The following are my trial experiences of this disk, which are not comprehensive. Please give more advice.

1 - DOS boot LOGO screen (good)
2 - Multi-configuration boot menu (not streamlined, and the English is not easy to understand)
3 - Comprehensive support for Chinese and English long filenames (good)
4 - Comprehensive support for (V)FAT12/16/32 (needless to say, WIN98 boot disks all support it)
5 - NTFS drive support (NTFS3.02 is read-only, and has no practical value during emergency rescue)
6 - USB drive support (My USB flash drive crashed and couldn't be used. I don't have other USB devices)
7 - Large hard drive support (I don't know what it refers to? The WINME version of FDISK? If so, it's good)
8 - Large memory support (I don't know what it refers to? What's the use of large memory under DOS?)
9 - Various CD-ROM supports (OAKCDROM is enough)
10 - RAM disk function (RAM disk is RAMDRIVE, and WIN98 boot disks all support it)
11 - Chinese support (It's Tianhui, good)
12 - Comprehensive mouse support (I haven't tried it. My MOUSE.COM was released in 1993, and it has good compatibility)

1 - DOS Animated Startup Logo
===============================================
It is modified a lot based on my own Windows boot screen, including the DOS startup logo and the animated scroll bar at the bottom. In this way, DOS also has its own startup logo screen! Everyone might as well enjoy the powerful functions of DOS!

2 - Multi-configuration startup menu
====================================================
When this MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk starts, there will be six options. The first option is to start in EMM386 mode, the second option is to start in UMBPCI mode, and the third and fourth options respectively add support for NTFS and USB drives on this basis. Because EMM386 may not work normally on very few computers, and the main problem with UMBPCI is that it does not support some motherboards, so the user can make a choice between EMM386 and UMBPCI when starting.
In this way, users can better use this boot disk to start the computer.
The fifth item in the startup menu is used to directly view this help file, and the system will automatically load the Chinese character system to support Chinese display.
And choosing the sixth item (that is, the last item) in the startup menu can automatically shut down or restart the computer.

3 - Full Long File Name (LFN) support

In addition to the internal commands of DOS, many other DOS programs, such as Volkov Commander 4.99, can then use long file names in pure DOS.

4 - Full FAT12/16/32 support
==========================================================
MS-DOS 7.10 natively provides perfect support for FAT12/16/32 partitions, so the boot disk inherits this function.
And the above-mentioned long file name driver enables support for VFAT (Virtual FAT).
Note: FAT partitions are the most common disk partition format for hard drives, so supporting it allows direct operation of most hard drives.

5 - NTFS Drives support

By using the NTFS driver NTFSDOS, this boot disk can fully support read-only access to NTFS drives and fully support long file names on NTFS partitions.
When the third or fourth item is selected in the startup menu, the system will automatically load the NTFSDOS driver to support NTFS drives.
It is also possible to manually load it at the command line, that is, execute NTFSDOS or NTFSDOS /U (where /U means to enable Unicode character set support).

6 - USB Drives support

When the third or fourth item is selected in the startup menu, the system will automatically load USB drivers such as DUSE, Motto Hairu, etc. at startup to provide support for USB drives.
It supports various USB interfaces (including OHCI, UHCI, and even EHCI interfaces) and many types of USB drives, such as most USB hard drives, USB optical drives, USB floppy drives, USB flash drives (such as USB flash drives), USB ZIP drives, USB MP3 players, etc. For some computers, sometimes you can manually set the parameters of the drive to better support your USB drive.
Alternatively, these drivers can be manually loaded at the command line using commands such as DEVICE, ADDEV, for example, execute ADDEV DUSE.EXE DRIVES=2.

7 - Large Hard Disk support

8 - Large Memory support
