Linux doesn't have to be the mainstream on PCs. It's not suitable for ordinary people; it's designed for us enthusiasts.

Learning it is difficult but very interesting, and it's powerful. It's incomparable to Windows.

Actually, Windows is just a cloned system, cloning the Mac (the system used on PowerPC).

DOS needs some full-screen software, like the DOS version of RAR, which is powerful and doesn't require remembering too many parameters. This is the general direction.

Linux is too stable, it never freezes at all. Although Windows 2000 is good, it's far behind Linux.

After I used Linux, I always felt that it wasn't as user-friendly as Windows. Many functions weren't as thoughtful as those in Windows. Maybe I'm just used to Windows.

If it weren't for my hard drive not being big enough, I would have installed it long ago. Learning more operating systems is definitely beneficial.
