I downloaded the super universal MS-DOS 7.10 boot disk from February 14, 2004. When selecting options 3 and 4 during startup, it freezes at the end of the boot, that is, the message "Now you're in MS-DOS 7.10 prompt. " appears.

When I made a bootable CD with Nero, I selected "2.88M img file" in "Boot".
But after booting into DOS from the CD,
I only find a: c: d: (d is a memory disk) e: (e is the CD drive)
That is to say, only the C drive is recognized.

There is a problem with this version. (Downloaded on March 11th)
1) After startup (all default, the same below), all files on the hard disk are displayed as garbled code.
2) When the C drive is an XP system, upon restart, it shows "NTLDK is missing" and cannot boot.
3) When the C drive is a 98 system, upon restart, it shows "I/O error" and cannot boot either.
I began to suspect a virus. I used KV3000 to check and found Gorgan.2718.
It is said that READNTFS is much more stable than NTFSDOS. Can we consider replacing it?
