ANSI.COM (A compact and practical replacement program for ANSI.SYS);

What is this for? How to use it?

Take a look at the readme.

MS-DOS 7.10 does not support Chinese input, which is its biggest shortcoming. The others are okay. However, I downloaded a bootable disk that can support Chinese input. After trial, the effect is very good and I burned it into a CD bootable disk. The test is also very good.

Pull the CMOS jumper. If that doesn't work, you can take out the battery, but it will take some time.

Can you release the config.sys and autoexec.bat of the boot disk and add comments? I want to learn, but I'm very green. Thanks, moderator!

Okay? I'm a newbie, really happy to be able to join this forum to learn a lot of DOS tools that will be useful before and after. These days, I've read many posts from like-minded friends, and they're all very interested in the super boot disk you made. I also downloaded one and am going to study it. I see that many friends are very concerned about whether they can boot various USB hard drives and USB flash drives. Can you set up a special section (it can be just for a short time) so that everyone can post and report which USB flash drives (I think there aren't many brands of USB flash drives on the market, referring to those with some fame) can be used. In this way, friends who join later can refer to and compare, and learn skills like how to use them.

Dear masters, I'm a newbie and just start to learn to use DOS to maintain the system. But I still have a question. It can be said that it's not very much a DOS-related question. This question is how to use the CD-ROM drive in the safe mode under WIN98? I've seen some articles, but I haven't succeeded all the time. Which master can teach a simple and accurate method?

The following is the statement from baobao726 on 2003-7-3 9:04:34:

Opening a "USB Special Area" is a good idea. We also thought about it, but unfortunately, there are already many existing DOS sections in the forum (there are already 7), so we don't know if it is appropriate to add new DOS sections. What do you think?

I don't think so, because as a software tool, practicality should come first. And now USB devices are very popular, so it is very important to be able to be driven under DOS. And just this aspect of work is very insufficient. For example, I have tried 6 kinds of USB storage devices with the super boot disk, and only 2 were successfully driven, namely: Patriot Mini King Classic Edition (successfully with USBASPI1.SYS), Mobile Star USB2.0 (successfully with DUSE). The other 4 (IBM 20G USB2.0 mobile hard disk, D-BRIDG's HD2401-00, Denke USB flash drive, and Huaqi MP3+USB flash drive two-in-one) all failed various attempts to be driven. So I support setting up a special column for driving USB under DOS.

USB Forum! I also think it's necessary! There are two reasons:
1. Everyone has more and more USB devices, especially flash drives, optical drives, mobile hard drives, etc. They all want to be able to load under DOS, directly repair and install the system, and carry out convenient and quick maintenance work.
2. DOS needs to develop and be improved, but it should not be limited to floppy disks only. DOS enables new devices to play a convenient and quick role, and new devices will also make DOS more concerned by everyone.

What is the function of killer.exe? Does it kill processes?
How to use PERUSE?
What are the functions of FIX27, DZ, CLOCK, DPMSAVE respectively?

Today I spent a long time, but still couldn't make my computer recognize the USB mobile hard drive. Strongly support the establishment of a USB forum
