Between pc dos 7.1 and IBM's pc dos 2000, which one is newer?

PC-DOS 2000 is PC-DOS 7.01, so naturally PC-DOS 7.1 is newer.

I saw in a DOS article: in the hard disk “logical lock” solution, there is a piece of software called "NetResq". Where can it be downloaded???

Can dos8.0 manage hard disks larger than 8.4GB?
I used msdos7.1 and installed it on a 20g hard disk, with c drive 10g, installed on d drive, but it gives an error: missing operation system. Will switching to 8.0 fix it? |

unix1998, this is not a problem with DOS itself. It was only caused by your not installing DOS correctly. My hard disk is 30GB, and MS-DOS 7.10 runs on it very well; there is no hard disk size problem at all.

Seems not. I tried many methods. 7.0's SYS.COM does not support 7.1, and 7.1 does not have SYS.COM, so you can only use FORMAT32 /S

I just DOWNloaded a PCDOS7.1 system disk from Roy's homepage, and it does have SYS in it.
