Can you add the driver for a USB mouse? Now many computers are equipped with USB mice.

? If only it could support NTFS...
: I've never tried the NTFS disk format. I think if a full installation of Windows 98 system can do it, then a minimal Windows 98 system might be able to do it too, it's just adding the relevant DLL files or something like that.

Dear Hero Meng Liangde, I would like to ask you a few questions and hope for your guidance:
After running the self-extracting program dazip in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file, what command does this program execute next?
That is to say, which files are executed in the virtual disk to boot the mini98 system?
Anyone who knows, please also give some pointers!!!

How large should the virtual disk be when running this small 98? I can't enter Win with Xmsdsk, and it seems there are always errors with mem. I have 192MB of memory. Please give me some advice. Thanks...

I don't know if you are using the ISO I have already made or if you have unpacked it and remade it. If you have unpacked it and remade it, the virtual disk should be set to be the same size as or slightly larger than the MINI98 folder before you packed it. If you are using this made ISO, you don't need to set it yourself, it has already been set.

I've virtualized a CD, loaded your ISO, ran that EXE, but after extracting, my WIN.com isn't responding. I don't know where I went wrong...

Can't know in what environment you are using. Is it calling the ISO file of the virtual CD in VPC? Or calling the virtual CD under windows? If it's the former, there will be no problem; if it's the latter, it won't work.

I am calling it under DOS. Can't I extract it to the virtual memory disk and then enter this small 98?

It is a small operating system, and you must establish the necessary conditions for its boot and operation. Do not simply run it using a virtual CD. Carefully understand the BOOT file of the ISO.

Then under DOS, virtualize a memory disk X, extract it there, and set comspec=x:\command.com. Can I then enter that Windows 98? Little brother is a newbie, trouble... trouble...!

Directly use this ISO and virtualize the drive letter as Z:. There are other conditions, please carefully understand the BOOT file of the ISO.

The following is a simple method to run on the hard drive: (This is only to assist you in understanding BOOT)
1. Put DAZIP.EXE on a partition of the hard drive, for example, D:
2. Extract the BOOT file of the ISO as XXX.BIF using UltraISO
3. Write XXX.BIF to a 1.4MB floppy disk using WinImage
3. Modify the autoexec.bat file to the following content and then boot the computer with this floppy disk to run

@ECHO Off
set EXPAND=YES
SET DIRCMD=/O:N
set ramd=Z
set temp=Z:\mini98\temp
set tmp=Z:\mini98\temp

LH MSCDEX.EXE /D:cd01 /L:%CDROM%
xmsdsk 36792 %ramd%: /y /t
call findcd.bat
LH DOSLFN /C- /Z:CP936UNI.TBL
%ramd%:
d:\dazip -y
