MLD, how can I get it installed and run from the hard disk? Because I want to install some software and then make an ISO, but the stuff in memory can't be saved.

Also, why do I only see the COMMAND file in your ISO? Where are the other boot files, and how can I see them?

Also, is there any way to get that Win98-style interface without installing IE (Explorer using the IE interface, plus the desktop and Quick Launch bar)? That 5.8M English 98 is like that.

Actually there's no need to compress it, since it's meant to be used from a CD anyway. Not compressing it can improve speed, and if some network functions are kept, then it would be practical.

Downloading it now. If it doesn't have network functionality, then it doesn't mean much. What I'm thinking is, is there any expert who can make one on miniW98 with integrated support for USB2.0, free read/write access to NTFS partitions, support for ADSL broadband, reasonable use of large-capacity memory (most memory nowadays is over 128M), and good multitasking support? Then this Win98 would be almost complete. If I missed anything, please add to it, hehe

The earlier one was made using the Win95 kernel, and indeed it had lots of problems. I suggest downloading the latest Win98SE version:
