When displaying, you can just replace the ASCII codes with Chinese dot-matrix codes.

This was discussed somewhere a long time ago, the principle behind displaying those few Chinese characters in the KV300 interface. In pure text mode, a small number of Chinese characters are displayed by replacing ASCII character glyphs. One Chinese character takes the place of two ASCII characters. Modify the ASCII character glyph data in Western text mode INT 10H, AH = 11H, AL = 00H Input registers: BH = size of each character's glyph data (in bytes), that is, character height. (Character width is fixed at 8) BL = 0 (meaning unknown, using 0 is enough) CX = number of characters whose glyph data is to be replaced DX = ASCII code of the first character to be replaced; you can replace the glyph data of several consecutive ASCII characters at one time ES:BP = address of the new glyph data Output registers: nonerestore the default ASCII character glyph data INT 10H, AH = 11H, AL = 04H Input registers: BL = 0 (meaning unknown, using 0 is enough) Output registers: none

Excellent! At last Chinese can be used in CONFIG.SYS!! I tried it. Question for moderator ROY: (1) Does having wrapper.sys mean you have the shell function in config? (2) Could you introduce the wrapper.sys and btcon.sys software: usage methods + original website URL. Excellent!!!

You could say so... but it can't load large software like CCDOS 2. wrapper.sys is used to load small software, while bootcon.sys is a classic boot menu system, very popular in the DOS 3~5 era...
