Well, I haven't been online for several days. This is the first time I'm moderating posts. Please bear with me. Actually, I'm not really a C/C++ expert. I just often write some small programs with C/C++. Recently I'm learning PERL.

It's because you often use C/C++ that it is like this. I only know the basic language, namely VB, and now I'm trying to study the C/C++ language hard, and strive to be proficient in VC++!

Actually, it is suggested that you don't learn VC++ first. It's easy to get stuck in MFC. It's better to first learn C well (after all, it's much simpler). Then learn a pure OO language like JAVA. As for C++, just put it aside for now. Actually, nowadays learning C++ is more about learning template techniques, that is, STL.

lemonhall What you said is very right. I indeed fear getting deeply involved in MFC class libraries and can't extricate myself. My self - set study plan is to start with C, then C++, and then follow up with VC++, so that I can proceed from shallow to deep and thus have overall control.
