The logical lock is caused by a BUG in MS-DOS's IO.SYS, and modifying it isn't a good idea either; at that point the hard disk will no longer be recognized. Try a PC-DOS 7.1 boot disk (there is a download in the forum), and it supports FAT32 and large hard disks.
