After trying it out, NC5.5 does support long filenames, and when copying files in long-filename-supported mode, the COPY speed is the same as before running DOSLFN, while VC's COPY speed after running DOSLFN is pitifully slow!

But this version of NC still isn't quite normal. The dialog box that appears when editing extension associations is abnormal?
Also, after running some TSRs inside NC, are there also problems like the command history getting garbled? The previous version didn't have these problems. The English version modified from that German version by Wengier also has these problems, but the previous version that showed itself as 5.0 didn't have any of these problems. |
