This thread is pretty awesome, only 15 replies high and it still hasn't sunk after more than a year……

I turned off Win's automatic updates; it's a garbage feature. Under Linux, updating software just means reinstalling it, and you can install only part of it. You can even recompile the kernel yourself. It's much easier to use than Win's.

Personal opinion.

But I think linux is good, stable! Fun!

This doesn't even need to be said.
Didn't WINDOWS have lots of vulnerabilities when it was young too??
And in W's early days, were hackers' skills as advanced as they are now?
LINUX is relatively a new thing; hasn't it still yet to go through storms like WIN and build up strong muscles?
