The silver mirror reaction cannot repair the data coating. The CD data coating is on the printing side. The parts of the coating not covered by printed paint are easy to wear or be invaded by microorganisms. The CD is transparent and the data has been physically lost. So it is necessary to paste a protective film on the CD without printed paint. The silver mirror reaction or repairing with an oil-based pen can only reduce the reading time and make the music CD without check data play more smoothly, which is meaningless for data CDs. The data of DVDs is in the plastic interlayer, and there is no need to paste a protective film.

The original version is difficult to find or has become extinct, and pirated versions also have great collection value. If you have an affection for a disc, even if there are some rubbish inside, I will keep its integrity. Moreover, the current storage cost is very low, and it is not worth spending a lot of time and energy to sort it out again. The time for making an image is faster than copying files, and compressing into 7Z also saves a lot of space. The current computers can extract it very quickly. Hope to consider it.

ISO can save the name, date, and size of damaged files, providing reference information for finding good files to replace.
