Remember seeing someone in E6 use the E6 version of DOSBOX to run WIN3.2...............E6 isn't a LINUX system, is it?

The fundamental difference is that Linux is an operating system that can run across architectures, while DOS is a system that can only run on the x86 architecture + BIOS.
DOS cannot run without x86 and BIOS
