Today I read some more articles.
Still that Chinese language reader,
But my eyes were a bit uncomfortable today, so I didn't read it very carefully,
Of course, there was nothing good to remember...

Reading is just a means for me to get temporary peace,
Actually, it's similar in nature to me playing computer games,
Just suddenly having free time and not wanting to feel too bored.
Today I continued to send messages to my ex-wife to ask to meet my son.
I said let's meet my son at a time this afternoon,
Just for an hour.
She still didn't agree,
Pretending to take the son to visit the countryside.
I said it can't be a whole day of visiting, right?
Otherwise, let's make an appointment for some time tomorrow for me to see my son?
She didn't reply to the message.
I knew it would be like this.
She just doesn't want me to see my son.
Such a person,
Still has the nerve to talk about for the baby,
Talking about wanting both fatherly love and motherly love.
Let's talk about it tomorrow,
If not, I'll go to her house to find the son directly tomorrow.
This can't be blamed on me disturbing her life, right?

Dosforever posted a thread,
And was quite modest saying if it's not suitable please let me delete it.
Although it's a reprint,
Well, how to say the content,
I always feel there's a bit of a radical youth's shadow.
I'm not young anymore,
And I don't have the courage and energy to be radical.
For such an article,
There's no place to resonate anymore,
But to ask me to delete it,
I don't have that energy either,
Let it stay here for now,
Since Dosforever worked hard to repost it.

It's better to read more books when there's time,
Any books are okay,
I believe there are still many books worth reading.
Saying there are no books to read in China is too extreme.

In Liu Zongyuan's "The Pavilion of the Small Stone Pool", I like the second paragraph the most, excerpted as follows:
There are about a hundred fish in the pool, all swimming in the air as if there is nothing to rely on. The sunlight shines directly down, and the shadows are cast on the stones. They are motionless;
Suddenly they swim far away, coming and going quickly. It seems to be having fun with the visitors.

This "coming and going quickly" is quite similar in artistic effect to Ouyang Xiu's "The Pavilion of the Drunkard" in the last paragraph, also excerpted as follows:
Soon the sun sets behind the mountain, people's shadows are scattered, the governor returns and the guests follow. The trees are shaded, the birds are singing up and down, and the visitors leave and the birds are happy.

It's just that the former is "seeming to be having fun with the visitors", while the latter is the birds having fun alone; one fish and one bird, corresponding charmingly.

I also have the "Chinese Reader" volumes 1-6. Now the textbooks no longer have these books. I also accidentally saw my sister's these books when tidying up. I felt very good, so I started to savor them. I thought the article praising mantises was quite interesting.

Zheng Banqiao once said: "To love listening to bird songs, plant more trees"

(I am very honored to have a conversation with the moderator ko, and I also yearn for the atmosphere in the water area before. But the current water area...)

Another song: "By the long pavilion, by the ancient road, the verdant grass connects to the horizon"

Everything was going well,
Suddenly, I accidentally touched the touchpad,
And just moved the mouse to the "Clear Content" button,
And pressed it.
All the words flew away...
This kind of pain.

The things I just wrote I can't remember,
And I can't write them out exactly,
Gone is gone,
No reason to talk about it.

I remember I went to a forum,
There was a very useful button,
It's for restoring the content you just entered,
Claiming "No matter if you submitted it or not, even if your machine crashed, it can still restore the content you just entered",
Why doesn't this forum have such a button?
If I want to clear the content, I won't do Ctrl+A and then Del.

Today I didn't study,
Just now I picked up what I read yesterday to talk about my feelings.
Lessons 10 to 13 are all about how to write and read,
I feel very funny and boring.
There are two articles written by Mr. Ye Shengtao,
Both are analyzing others' articles,
It makes me feel like I'm not reading an article at a desk,
But like watching a teacher dissect at an operating table.
If you really want to analyze an article,
According to the method Mr. Ye said,
It's probably not wrong,
But is it necessary to be so serious when reading normally?
Do you have to dissect people bit by bit, chew bit by bit?
Nitpicking, probably describes this situation.
Reading an article like this,
It's like torturing someone and eating them piece by piece with seasoning.
Reading,
It's just to take a casual look,
Slow down and savor it carefully when you are interested, that's all,
Why make it like doing scholarship and research?
My favorite is the attitude of "not being too literal" and the realm of "being content with not being too clear".

"Visiting Shenyuan" is a bit strange to read.
Especially that imitation poem,
The content is too far-fetched,
The words are not smooth,
The tune doesn't seem right.
I don't understand the rhyme pattern, I don't know the rhythm,
And I dare not say it doesn't follow the rules.
But this poem just feels wrong.
And the content is too vulgar,
There is no artistic conception,
The words are very awkward,
To put it bluntly,
A limerick is more clear in meaning and smooth in words than it.
I turned to the front to see the author,
It turned out to be Guo Moruo.
Mr. Guo is said to be a lackey writer,
He was very popular at that time.
No wonder this article feels very awkward,
It was supposed to be a travel note,
But it was branded with politics.
I even doubt if he has been to Shenyuan,
Let alone that "poetically" interlude about encountering a mother and son (the interlude means episode. Mr. Guo has to call it an interlude, I can't help it)
The whole thing gives a very fake feeling,
And the ending is very unreasonable.
"Lu You, if he came to Shenyuan again today, he would not be sad and cry, but would sing loudly."
Why?
Why so arbitrarily infer that he would not be sad and cry?
Even if Shenyuan has become a paradise for modern people,
For Lu You,
It's still his sad place.
When a person comes to his sad place,
Not sad and crying,
But singing loudly?
Crazy?
Writing such words,
Not to say crazy,
At least it's distorted.
I have never known Mr. Guo well,
I haven't read much of his works,
I just later heard that he is a lackey writer,
He is very disdained by some people,
From this article,
I'm afraid it's not a baseless rumor.
In order to flatter,
He is not reluctant to use others' tragedies for show,
For such a person,
There's no need to talk about the integrity of a writer.

"The Factory Girls" is a reportage,
I studied it in high school,
I won't say more.

Then there's President Jiang's speech at Harvard University in the United States,
Of course, it's a very wonderful speech,
Only I don't know if it was given in English or Chinese at that time,
President Jiang is proficient in multiple languages.
But it's estimated to be in Chinese,
(Of course, in such an occasion, you should use your mother tongue)
I'm just very curious,
How would this be translated into English?

Xie Mian's "Eternal Campus" I didn't dare to read carefully,
This campus refers to Peking University,
In the hearts of Chinese students,
It's a holy place.
I don't have the ability to enter this place,
It seems that I don't even have the courage to read this article.
In Yang Dongping's "School" it is written:
"1905,... In the foreign school, the children studied 'Confucius said and Mencius said' in the morning, and 'physics, chemistry and electricity' in the afternoon, singing the new song 'By the long pavilion, by the old road'... Cai Yuanpei's reform at Peking University laid the foundation for the atmosphere of free thought and inclusiveness"
It gave me an illusion,
It seems that "By the long pavilion" is the school song of Peking University. (Here it doesn't mean the real "school song", but the meaning of the song sung throughout the school)
And I,
Just the one who didn't have a chance to sing this song.
When 523066680 mentioned this song on the 18th floor,
I had this little sadness.
But I didn't know why at that time.
523066680 said on the 17th floor "I'm very honored to talk to版主 KO"
This made me a bit "flattered",
Actually, what am I?
Just a total Loser.

Lesson 18 is two short articles, both about kites, one written by Lu Xun and one by Zhou Can.
I didn't read them yesterday, I just read Lu Xun's just now,
I have some feelings, I dare not read it carefully.
Keep it for later to feel slowly.

Yu Dafu's "Four Seasons in Beijing" I didn't read carefully either,
I studied one of his articles "Autumn in the Old Capital" before.
His prose,
It's also of a very interesting kind,
I can't say the specific thing for a while.
Regarding himself,
I have a very strange even ridiculous association,
It's associated from his surname,
I always feel that he seems very melancholy,
Actually, it's not very melancholy,
There's no worry, not depressed,
Just a feeling of being depressed,
It's not heavy, but very flat.
This is of course a very baseless association,
In fact, I don't know if he really has the surname "Yu",
This may be his pen name,
Moreover,
I don't know if there is such a surname in the Chinese Hundred Family Surnames.
These can of course be found,
The Internet is so developed,
What can't be searched?
But I'm not doing scholarship,
Why search for it?

I also read "Famen Temple" yesterday,
Maybe there is such a play in Beijing opera,
So I paid attention to it.
In fact, I haven't seen this Beijing opera,
Maybe I've seen a few shots,
I can't remember.
In short, I can't tell this play.
Famen Temple is in a rural area about eight or nine miles away from Fufeng County, Shaanxi,
I only knew it was in Xi'an before,
I found out from Song Xiaomeng's "Visiting the Ancient City Wall of Xi'an".
There, a thirteen-story pagoda collapsed,
A地宫 was exposed,
There are many treasures in it,
There are secret color porcelains,
There is Wu Zetian's skirt,
There is the true body relic of Sakyamuni Buddha.
It is said that other relics are obtained after the Buddha's body is burned,
And this one is from his body,
It's a finger bone relic.
In my limited knowledge,
I also think that relics are burned,
How can there be relics without burning?
Another question is,
Did someone cut off this finger bone relic of the Buddha and store it separately at that time?
Otherwise, why wasn't it burned together?
That is to say,
The Buddha had the qualification to enter the Disabled Persons' Federation for a period of time before he died??
Or,
The Buddha was "incomplete after death"?

I read part of "Lao She and His Friends",
The first part is that Lao She valued friends above everything else,
To the point of being a bit incredible,
In today's words,
A bit abnormal.

I didn't read carefully yesterday,
Just skimming through,
And I didn't want to write it out carefully yesterday.
I didn't read anything new today,
So I wrote out what I didn't write yesterday,
Otherwise,
What would I write today?
If I don't want to write,
There is still something to write,
I didn't read anything new today,
Even if I want to write, I can't,
I have to rehash the old.

I still didn't see my son today.
The ex-wife said she went to the countryside again,
Said you can come to the countryside to see.
Going to her hometown,
Crazy?

In addition,
The 17th floor said that the current water area seems to be in a drought,
I haven't been to the forum for a long time,
Let alone the water area,
Although I still have a pig name in the water area.
I'm really an unqualified pig.
It doesn't seem to be just the water area,
The number of posts in many sections is very small,
Some are still posts from several months ago.
I don't know where Wengier has gone,
I haven't seen her for a long time.
In the past, everyone would have a meeting together after a while,
Now I'm afraid many people don't know each other,
I've been away from the organization for a long time.
This is also something unique to this forum,
Some forums are overcrowded,
If you don't go for a few months, your account might be deleted.
Every time I come back and see that I still occupy the moderator position, I'm ashamed to death.
Then I got used to it.

The time in this forum is not adjusted.
Now the time is 2009-2-8, 23:24:42

After reading "Famen Temple", I just realized that the true body of Buddha Tathagata is Sakyamuni. Hehe

Did you read the second volume's article "Dignity", the 38th one?
I am very touched. My writing is poor, and I don't know how to describe the feelings. Maybe it's because I'm in an internet café now and have forgotten the words. If my personal computer were still there, I would definitely type the whole thing and post it in the water area. Now I can only see if it's available online.

Recommend this article.

Just now I searched the table of contents online, and it seems there are different versions.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally found the table of contents of that version

Second volume

38 Dignity Sha Yexin

What's even more frustrating is seeing a controversial article... Is this article a real event?

I don't have time to read today...

Lantern Festival.
After work, I went to my brother's house to celebrate the festival.
After dinner, my parents, brother, sister-in-law and I all went to the square to play.

There is a very large square here, and there is a very large artificial lake next to it.
There is no such a large and beautiful square elsewhere.
There is a children's playground in one corner of the square.
There are carousels, there are small trains.
There is a big air cushion where children can jump around.
I went around there.
I didn't see my son.
In another corner is a musical fountain.
My parents, brother and sister-in-law are all watching there.
There are many people in the square.
There are also many children carrying various lanterns.
They should all be modern electronic lanterns.
They are all relatively small.
Not those traditional old-fashioned handmade lanterns.
After a while,
The sound of gongs, drums and suonas came.
The dragon dance team came.
Everyone rushed over to watch.
The dragon dance team came to the center of the square.
People all around were immediately full.
We had to stand a little far away to watch.
Just looking at the sea of people.
A dragon was翻腾着.
There are continuous firecrackers ringing around the dragon.
Reflecting the dragon shining.
I think it's better to watch from the periphery.
If you really squeeze in to watch.
Even the men dancing the dragon can be seen反而不美.
Sometimes,
Forced too close.
Seeing too real.
反而无趣.
Most things in the world are like this.

After watching for a while,
I felt tired.
And I was thinking about going home to watch the party.
Everyone walked back together.

Hunan TV's Lantern Festival party was really good.
Very lively.
Very funny.
The party,
Is to entertain the public.

After watching,
Returned to the notebook.
Returned to the forum.
Randomly wrote down these things.
The article recommended by the person upstairs also has no time to read.
I'm really sorry.
It's very late.
I'm going to sleep.
I'll read it later.
It seems that the article is relatively profound.
Or it will make people feel a lot.
Otherwise, it wouldn't have caught the eye of the person upstairs.
But this kind of thing needs to be savored carefully.
Good things should be saved for slow enjoyment.
Today's time is rushed.
Just go to sleep early.

Yesterday, 523066680 recommended an article to me.

"Honor" by Sha Yexin.

Indeed, it's a very heavy article.

It's about a female overseas student suing a banker in the US who severely beat her.

Of course, it was a very tough process.

Although in the end, with her persistence, she won, for her own honor, for so-called fairness.

Of course, there are feelings, but I just don't want to think about it in detail.

I just went through a painful and long lawsuit, and the outcome was that I failed. I didn't keep my family, my son.

Is the law just?

The law is just a trick for some people to play.

The question is, can you afford to play? Do you have power? Do you have influence? Do you have money? Do you have time?

I once placed my hope on the justice of the law, but I found it was just a lie on paper.

Whether in the US, in China, or in any country in the world, the law is just a tool for some people to oppress others.

Just as a passage in it,

"Even the greatest authority can't distort black and white, even the greatest judge has to handle things according to the law, right?"

"Law? Miss Qu, you're too naive. In the US, the law is made by them, and they are the law!"

...

"If you want to win, unless..."

"Unless you have more money than him!"

This passage really nakedly reveals the true nature of the law. It's the same throughout ancient and modern times, at home and abroad.

My old father told me, "Forget it, kid, we can't fight against them. How many honest officials are there in the world? Bao Gong, there was only one in history. And even Bao Gong, didn't he first give Qin Xianglian some silver to let her not sue, and offer her some money to go home and live a good life? Bao Gong was certainly sympathetic to her, and even gave her some self-funded support. He was a very conscionable official. But he didn't want to take the risk to punish Chen Shimei because Chen Shimei was the imperial consort's husband, a member of the royal family. Until Qin Xianglian scolded Bao Gong for shielding officials of the same rank, did Bao Gong come to his senses and decide to seek justice for the people regardless of his own safety.

A few days ago, a colleague asked me, "Why do Chinese always hope for an honest official, a fair official, why do they always place their hope on officials?" I casually replied, "Because of the servility of the Chinese. Chinese are used to being governed, and just hope that the official who governs them can be fair, just, honest, and incorruptible by himself." The colleague said, "Without supervision, relying only on self-discipline, that's very可怕." I said, "Exactly. In Wesley's novels, it's often written about such things. A righteous person tries to stop a person who wants to rule the world from obtaining some extraordinary power. But when he defeats that bad person and has the chance to obtain this power himself, he gets lost. When such great power can be in his own hands, the originally righteous person also becomes the kind of person he originally wanted to defeat. How可怕 the temptation of power is! Relying on human moral constraints is such a fragile defense line." The colleague's original intention was to discuss the origin of this situation and compare the differences between China and foreign countries. But unfortunately, I have no interest in history and politics, so I can't discuss it in depth. I don't have this knowledge, so I can't have any in-depth insights. Just chatting, it's just for people's leisure. If really experts and scholars hear it, I'm afraid there will be many shaking their heads and many sneering.

There was a previous joke, also heard online. Someone conducted a survey online, saying, "Do you hate corruption?" "Hate!!!" Everyone said in unison. Then said, "If you have a chance, will you be corrupt?" "Will!!!" Most people said. This can be said to be a cold joke. Everyone smiles after reading it, but after smiling, thinking carefully, it's so helpless and可怕. Those who hate corruption are those who don't have the chance to be corrupt. Those who have benefited from corruption won't. It makes me think of a term, "sour grapes psychology".

There was a previous leader's proposition, governing the country with virtue. I think it's very ridiculous. If you are the head of state, are you the person with the best morality in the whole country? Governing the country with virtue? Then what about the law? Is it to govern the country with virtue or with law? It's okay to advocate self-discipline with virtue. If really governing the country with virtue, I'm afraid it will be in a mess.

The US often criticizes our country for having no human rights. How can we not have human rights? In terms of population, we are the largest in the world. In terms of power, we also advocate it the most. Since ancient times, the Chinese have been struggling for human rights. "All occupations are of low status, only reading is high." Why? Because if you study well, you can pass the imperial examinations, become a top scholar, become an official. Once you become an official, you have power. "Endure hardships to be a superior person." Once you become an official and become a superior person, all the hardships you endured before are worth it. Now that society has progressed, of course, some previous ugly phenomena are gone, some dross thoughts are discarded. Our socialist new China has new positive meanings for human rights. But the US, which has only had a history of more than 200 years, doesn't understand our long history at all. It's so ridiculous to always bring up human rights.

This prompt ruined the post I spent an hour writing...
This forum is too bad...
It seems I still can't write here,
I'll write elsewhere in the future and just transfer a copy here.
And I really don't know when this forum might go down,
like if the server has problems or something,
my posts will all be for nothing.

The most frustrating thing is seeing an article full of controversy... Is this article about a real event?

A bit confused about the above sentence, is it an article about this article full of controversy? Or an article about something else controversial? What is the content of the controversy? Is it about whether this article is telling a real event?

Regardless of whether it is true or not, at least it "exposes" the dark side of the United States. If this happened in China, I guess this article wouldn't be published.

However, there are some doubts in this article. Let's list one or two.

First, the matter of the non-prosecution guarantee. Since she signed the non-prosecution guarantee, why could Qu Xiaoxue still sue Edward? Also, why did the police ask Qu Xiaomei to sign this guarantee? Actually, if Edward doesn't sue Qu Xiaomei, okay, Qu Xiaomei can leave. If Edward sues Qu Xiaomei, and Qu Xiaomei doesn't have a lawyer to bail her out, she can't leave... Whether she signs that guarantee or not, she can't leave. Then why did she sign it? If he doesn't sue her, she doesn't have to sign the guarantee to leave, then why did she sign it? In short, logically speaking, this deal between Edward and Qu Xiaomei simply can't be concluded.

Second, the issue of appeal. Dissatisfied with the first instance, so appealed; at the second hearing, still dissatisfied, continued to appeal. As a result, this lawsuit lasted for four years, from the local court to the highest circuit court. I don't know much about the US law. Saying I don't know much is flattering myself. Actually, I know nothing about US law, no basic concepts at all. I understand it according to China's current law. Generally, civil cases are finalized in two instances. If you are dissatisfied with the first instance judgment, you can appeal to the intermediate court. The second instance result of the intermediate court is the final judgment result. When the lawsuit reaches this point, you have to accept it even if you are not convinced. I heard there is also a retrial, but I don't understand it. I just heard from others that the second instance generally upholds the first instance judgment, unless you have some strong new evidence to overturn the original judgment. And if you still lose the second instance, the possibility of winning the retrial is even smaller. Civil cases generally can't go to the Supreme Court. And in this article, it gives us an illusion that Qu Xiaoxue can keep being dissatisfied with the judgment and keep appealing, and after many appeals, she reached the highest circuit court. I don't know how many times she can appeal, and I don't know if she can appeal to the highest circuit court. Maybe the US law is different from China's in this aspect.

Third, regarding the recusal system. China also has a recusal system, but I suspect that Qu Xiaoxue can easily use this clause to request the judge to recuse. In China, you need to have sufficient evidence to prove that the judge has a relationship with the defendant that interferes with judicial justice to apply for recusal. Saying that because the two smiled at each other in court that there is an unusual close relationship is too easy?

Fourth, regarding the issue of compensation. Did Qu Xiaoxue file a claim for compensation when she accused Edward of beating her? Her purpose in the lawsuit was just the other party's apology in court? As she said, there was a white old lady who burned her lip in McDonald's and claimed $600,000, but why did the judge only award her $5,250 in compensation? And this amount was proposed by the other party's lawyer.

Fifth, regarding the out-of-court settlement. After Qu Xiaoxue clearly stated that she did not agree to the out-of-court settlement and demanded that Edward apologize to her in court on the spot, the black judge said: "Since you agree to the out-of-court settlement, everything will be implemented outside the court." Which ear did he hear that Qu Xiaoxue agreed to the out-of-court settlement? And Qu Xiaoxue's answer is even more confusing: "If there is no public apology in court, I won't agree to the out-of-court settlement!" Then did Qu Xiaoxue agree to the out-of-court settlement or not? This makes me very interested in the term "out-of-court settlement". What exactly is out-of-court settlement? What is its content? How does it settle? The two will keep fighting the lawsuit to the highest circuit court, which means that it can't be settled out of court, so why can the court pronounce it as an out-of-court settlement? What is its legal significance?

Sixth, how did Qu Xiaoxue win the case? If this can be regarded as a win. To put it simply, Qu Xiaoxue didn't win because her legal knowledge was solid and she moved the jury and the judge during the court statement or debate, but simply threatened the judge: "As long as this case is postponed, tomorrow's newspapers and radio stations will be very lively." Forcing the judge to re-decide. There is also a problem. Since the judge finally announced that the result was an out-of-court settlement and told Qu Xiaoxue that this was the final judgment of the highest circuit court and no appeal was allowed, where did Qu Xiaoxue get the chance to coerce the judge to re-decide? Besides, as I know, the result of the US court ruling is not decided by the judge, but by the jury's joint discussion. Then the judge has no power to re-decide. To put it simply, the judge can only announce the jury's opinion.

The last paragraph of the article writes: "Qu Xiaoxue tore the $5,250 check bit by bit and threw it into the air in the court." This reminds me of the last paragraph of a text I studied: "The cheque fluttered to the floor like a bird with a broken wing. Slowly the old lady stooped to pick it up. Her present, her lovely present. With trembling fingers she tore it into little bits." It's the same about tearing the check. But the old lady tore it at home, and Qu Xiaoxue tore it in court in public. Won't there be any trouble? In China, there is a crime called intentional destruction of RMB, I don't know if there is in the US. But a check is different from currency, it should be okay.

These past two days there have been especially many things, and I haven't had time to read books or write.... Given that posting on the forum isn't always smooth, often carelessly losing the hard - typed words, I specially applied for a QQ space, and gradually copied over previous posts and articles, picking out those I want to keep, which is euphemistically called "moving house". I will basically focus on that side in the future.

Ah, left? I only have one or two hours online per week. So it's not easy to start a conversation. It seems I'm lonely again now...

Ko, come back to play. Then let's chat here. The main thing is that QQ Space is very slow~
I still like here because of the speed and the tidy layout.

By the way, earlier Ko said that he accidentally deleted the edited content. When there is a lot of content, you can first edit in TXT~

What do you think of Zhang Zhongxing's "Mantis"? I quite like it.
