This tool is really good; I just don't know about its compatibility and stability. I hope brothers who have used it can provide more feedback.

Support has been added for hidden FAT partitions after running IFS and primary FAT partitions beyond the first primary partition. See the DOS for BC3.1 update.

A suggestion for GOTOmsdos: Do not continuously add features to meet everyone's different needs, as this may reduce the software's stability. Additionally, does the principle behind the software's display of partition information share similarities with that of GDISK and similar tools?

Do not continuously add features to meet everyone's different needs, as this may reduce the software's stability.

Most of the features I added at users' request are those with general applicability that were not originally considered in the program, not to satisfy individual personal requirements. Take the IFS support for hidden FAT partitions as an example; that was an oversight on my part.
Most friends' suggestions are generally applicable, so you can rest assured about this.

Is the principle behind the software's display of partition information similar to that of tools like GDISK?

When it comes to displaying partition information, regardless of the tool, there should be no shortcuts. One must honestly read the hard disk sector by sector according to the master partition table, following the trail to find all partitions.

Thank you for your reply. With such a rigorous style, I believe the software will get better and better. Regarding the compatibility or stability issues in displaying partition information, I wonder if other friends have reported similar issues. Such a compact software really hopes that both compatibility and stability will not be worse than software like GDISK.

There are compatibility or stability issues in displaying partition information

If it can be fixed, it will definitely be fixed.
At present, no problems are found except that the free space of NTFS partitions cannot be marked.

Can you post the output result?

I'm sorry to have misunderstood you. What I mean is whether other people have reported problems with displaying partitions.
Also, displaying the free space of the NTFS partition should be an important function, and I hope it can be solved.

The free space of NTFS is not in the DBR. There is no time now, and we'll talk about it later.

In fact, the free space of FAT16, the DIR command of DOS is inaccurate. The function used in this program is the same as it, and I don't know the reason..

Just used the updated DOS version and then restarted!
Thought there was a problem somewhere again? It turned out that the parameters I used were incorrect: (
Originally used -P-IFS-TURN changed to /P /IFS /T, problem solved! Hehe, a false alarm, when did it change?
By the way, has the NOHP parameter changed?

The parameters of the DOS version changed some time ago, and the help has also been updated. Just look at the help to know.

The Lenovo machine reported last time had 4 partitions, but minitow only detected one partition problem. Today, I tested again, removed /nohp, and the result was still the same. I wanted to back up the MBR under Windows but got an error and the operation was aborted. I suspect whether there is a Lenovo protection program at work.

Enter DOS, run minito, and there is no result.

Changed to use dspt, the detected hard disk data is correct. Backed up the first sector data. Found that the data in the partition part is a bit different from the usual ones, not sure if it is the reason for minito's detection error. Attached part of the partition table data for reference.
