Without technical strength to support it, it's hard to talk about surpassing anything.
Now most of the original DOS programmers have switched to programming under Windows, or switched to networking. Another portion have gone off to work on linux. No one is coming back under DOS to develop new application programs anymore. Looking at what we use now, it's basically all DOS software produced by foreign companies...
What we need is people who understand programming under DOS and are interested in developing.
At present, if we can promote DOS, let more people understand DOS, understand some basic knowledge, understand some new DOS software, and come into contact with new DOS developments, then we are already doing our duty.
