Regarding dial-up Internet access under DOS - China DOS Union Forum

After dialing, the following information appears:
connecting to network..
lcp:can't estabish connection
can't connect . driver not going resident

I can connect in the DOS prompt of WIN2000, but not in pure DOS or the DOS window of WIN98.
In addition, my account and password are both more than 8 characters. I don't know if it's because long filenames are not supported.

I also have this problem, and it doesn't work in pure DOS and the command prompt of WinXP.

Also, what authentication protocols does LSPPP support? Why do I get the "Unrecognized Authorization Protocol" error message when I connect to my Win2000 server?

I also encountered a problem with LSPPP. After entering: lsppp /n:1 /d:xxxxx /U:xxx /P:xxx and pressing Enter, the following information appears on the screen: LADSoft PPP Packet Driver Ver 0.8 Copyright (c) LADSoft Dialing... <- This waiting time is relatively long Dialer: need a hayes modem I am using an external modem. Also, how to use DOSPPP? After I enter pppd and pppdd, the following information appears on the screen: PPP link is down, driver not installed.
