I just tried to divide several very small hard disk partitions with PQ. It seems that ROM-DOS really doesn't support hard disk drives after H. Is it because this is a demo version that there are restrictions?

The company Datalight, which produces ROM-DOS, asked me if I had any questions regarding the use of ROM-DOS, and I casually asked this question! Then the reply they gave me is as follows:

I believe what you are seeing is the default limit on the number of Units
(which equates to drive letters) that is set within the ROM-DOS kernel.
There has been some discussion of making this value dynamic, but to date
other projects have taken precedence. The default is currently set to 8,
which would give you only to drive letter H:. This value can be increased
by modifying the file DEVFD.INC found in the DEVSRC subdirectory of the
installed Software Developer's Kit files. If you are interested in making
these changes, I can send you complete instructions.

rom-dos is only restricted to hard disks. It has no restrictions on CD-ROM drives.

The person from Datalight said that the solution to this problem is very simple, just modify that file in the SDK (Software Development Kit) of ROM-DOS. But I didn't buy its SDK!

No need for so many! I only have 3 partitions now! How many partitions should I make for a 120g drive! 10!？To n! Isn't it just enough!

Partition size is a matter of personal preference, and there's no way to discuss a unique answer.
For example, I don't like large partitions. Once something goes wrong, all data in the entire partition is lost (I have had painful lessons). Also, scanning and organizing large partitions takes too long. For these two reasons, my partitions are generally not more than 4G. Of course, I don't expect others to like small partitions like me.
So, if a software doesn't support partitions larger than H, I won't use it.
