Today I found an opportunity to try it out. I placed ntfs4dos.exe and ifs both on the floppy image file, and then used grub4dos to boot this floppy image into DOS. Both ntfs4dos and ifs ran normally, and the two could even run simultaneously. But it seemed that the stuff of ifs was more professional.

Virtualize an A drive in memory, then copy all files from the USB drive to the A drive, and then run the program! That is, add a few more programs to the startup.

It is normal to run ntfs4dos.exe on a floppy disk, but it doesn't work on a USB flash drive. Now that floppy drives are no longer used, so I want to use a USB flash drive to boot the machine for system installation, recovery, repair, etc.

It seems that there is this meaning in the help of NTFS4DOS.EXE. It can be achieved by running NTFS4DOS.EXE plus switches. How to add them?

Please run ntfs4dos.exe /? on floor 16 to see how to add these switches to virtually create an A drive in memory.
