But it is still possible to support booting from a mobile hard drive.

Brother upstairs, have you tried that FLASHBOOT? The short article I highly recommended is exactly this thing. As for that USBOOT and HPUSBFW, in my tests, there are indeed many problems...

I'm currently using FLASHBOOT. This has nothing to do with the production software; if the motherboard doesn't recognize your USB drive, there's nothing to be done.

The mainboard doesn't support booting in USB-ZIP mode, right?

Looking at the mainboard you're using, it's indeed possible, because all my tests were done on motherboards with INTEL and SIS chips. For combinations like VIA and IPOD, I really have nothing to say.

It's already quite remarkable to be able to treat the most common USB flash drives as bootable disks. I don't really dare to experiment with devices like MP4s, voice recorders, IPODs, or even DCs. If something goes wrong, it would be a big hassle...

Using FLASHBOOT, 80% of large USB drives can be made into USB-ZIP A drive to boot DOS.

I used FLASHBOOT and did it once. I don't know why the text files and batch files on my disk are garbled after entering DOS.

I used USBOOT to make a 256M disk and it didn't succeed. It seems that it really doesn't support more than 128M.

For a USB flash drive larger than 64MB, I divided it into two partitions with PM, only used the first partition (less than 64MB), and successfully made it bootable with USboot!

Just make the startup mode of GRUB into usb-hdd, and it can boot the operating systems on any disk, including your USB flash drive, of course.
