From my previous experience, most laptops support booting from a杂牌 USB CD-ROM. You can definitely use the XP installation disc to boot and install the system. The GHOST file in Toshiba's recovery disc is encrypted and cannot be manually restored. Of course, there are solutions, but they are more complicated. [ Last edited by LanCat on 2006-9-21 at 19:03 ]

The person upstairs please make it clear.. thank you. I can find the optical drive under DOS now. Just can't use my recovery disk, If I give up the genuine version and use another XP installation disk, how should I do it. I can view the files in my CD under DOS.
