Hehe, I use bootit to support large hard drives, support graphical interface, and most importantly, support more than 4 primary partitions!!
Other ones I've used
1. The latest version of bootmaster doesn't support large hard drives either. (Regretful)
2. System command was a long time ago, it seems it doesn't support more than 4 primary partitions
3. The earliest boot program of OS/2 2.0, who has used it?

Generally, current boot managers have graphical interfaces and support large hard drives. But I don't understand how to implement more than 4 primary partitions. Does it change the partition table every time you switch?

This post is very good. I am the current maintainer of grub4dos. Brothers, if you have any requirements for grub4dos, you might as well give some suggestions. For example, multi-primary partitions and similar feature functions, whether they can be introduced and how to introduce them into grub4dos, everyone can talk about it. Everyone is also more welcome to directly patch grub4dos.

Currently, I am considering making any partition map as a primary partition (different from the previous old mapping method; the previous mapping was emulation, and under emulation, Windows 98 cannot be booted). If it can be successful, it may partially replace the function of "multi-primary partitions".
因为我们亲手创建,这个世界更加美丽。

Back to the little dot:

This post is very bad! Because it's repeated with my post! I'm very angry when I see it!

Actually, I'm also a little interested in grub. It's just that the first thing I got in touch with was System Commander, then I knew about Lilo, and then there was Grub. I originally planned to use Grub with Linux, but I found that it doesn't have the MultiFAT function similar to System Commander. I didn't find such a function in other multi-system boot management software, so I had to give up. If you have time and energy to improve grub4dos, I'm very happy.

In my humble opinion, I think MultiFAT actually manages the relevant files of each different OS in the same partition, and when starting different OSes, put their respective different corresponding files in the correct positions.

I heard that when grub starts an OS, it is in a virtual way, that is, a floppy disk image file containing the OS startup files, right?

The OS Loader is sufficient, there's no need to use others.

I don't need it, it's completely unnecessary. The OS Loader is sufficient

boot it is an extremely good multi-master partition boot management software. The software itself occupies an 8M partition, and the bootable main partitions can be more than 4.
