Is there no problem with file operations on the ixp partition under DOS? Is there any difference between the partition and the original? In this case, reinstalling XP under DOS should be possible. How did you operate? What problems occurred during the installation?

Is XP on the C drive? It might be a hard disk error causing the installation to not proceed normally. Fixing it with NDD2002 should work. It's in my instant Chinese汉化 boot disk.
