I installed it directly using VMware virtual machine. The first ima file is a 1.44 floppy disk image and can be installed normally. The subsequent ones are all 1.840 imas. Do it yourself. The CD production process:

Manual production method:
Create a folder CDROM, enter CDROM and then create a folder DOS7V;
Extract the first disk image file to "DOS7V", and delete autoexec.bat and config.sys;
Extract the second disk image file, add the extension ".1" to all files without an extension, and then copy them to DOS7V;

I made a CD image file and installed it successfully on Connectix Virtual PC.
It was still 16-bit originally.
Only the FAT16 file system is recognized.
Not much better than the Chinese version of MS-DOS 6.22.

Everyone. If you find that the 1840KB floppy disk image cannot be used on the virtual machine, there is no need to make it into a CD. Just set the floppy drive to 2.88M in the virtual machine's BIOS.
