Michael: When software cannot run properly under an older DOS version, it's best to try it under a newer DOS version first and see the result, rather than directly saying the software itself can't be used. Because it's always worked perfectly fine here and I've never had any problems, I couldn't figure out why it wouldn't run on your system. In the end, I only discovered the real reason for the problem on your system after doing special tests under an older DOS version, so it took quite a bit of time.

As for the file allocation table error when exiting, actually besides CD\, if you enter WIN directly from the root directory, or convert FAT16 to FAT32, or enable "32-bit disk access" (in WFW3.x), then that message won't appear.

But 4dos's long filename support probably isn't as simple as roy says, is it?
