DOS stands for freedom, openness and progress. Let us work hard, learn from the openness and GNU spirit of FreeDOS and Linux, and together build and grow a free GNU GPL world!

The following is the statement from Wengier on 2004-2-18 5:19:33:
biolover:
"dir failed /boot/dos.img, 16"
This sentence means: The file is not found. Please check if the file exists.
The situation of not being able to successfully make the virtual disk boot file using vfloppy on NTFS last time has been existing on that machine (80GB hard disk). The problem is the same when using my super boot multi-system maintenance disk. But it didn't occur on other NTFS machines. It is guessed that it might be because some partitions of the hard disk on that machine are NTFS and some are FAT32. However, this problem doesn't exist on another machine with multiple format partitions (10GB hard disk), which shows that the above guess is wrong. Doesn't the moderator find it strange?

Brother,
May I ask how to install the sound card driver for DOS 7.1!!!
Please look at the "DOS Usage" section of the website, specifically the "Installation and Configuration of Hardware Devices Under DOS" section. There are some introductions to DOS sound card drivers there.
