I formatted the A drive under XP to make a boot disk. Once I forgot the password and the system couldn't boot in. Only taking out the boot disk to enter DOS to delete the COOKIES folder, but this problem occurred: The "Documents and Settings" folder couldn't be entered. The folder shown by DIR is Documents~1, and it couldn't be entered no matter how. What's the matter with this???

Another noob question: If I boot with DOS 7.1 and don't load the CD-ROM drive drivers in config.sys and autoexec.bat, will the CD-ROM drive be unavailable when I enter Windows 98 after entering DOS?
