1: To obtain pure DOS, generally, you can install DOS 6.22 or DOS 7.0. Since Win 2000, Win XP, and Win Vesta do not fully support DOS, it is recommended to install a second operating system - Win 98 system to obtain DOS 7.0.

2: Because a large number of pure DOS installed additionally under Win XP basically automatically install the Chinese system after startup, which wastes a lot of conventional memory. It is recommended to install a second operating system - Win 98 system to obtain DOS 7.0.

3: If running under Windows 2000 or Win XP, configure the "XmsStyle" keyboard configuration in the "Boot" section of the Config.Sys file in the Sail30000 directory to "1" and use disk emulation to expand memory. If running under pure DOS or Win 9X, configure the "XmsStyle" keyboard configuration in the "Boot" section of the Config.Sys file in the Sail30000 directory to "0" and directly use expanded memory.

4: To check memory, type the "mem/c" command at the DOS command line.

I used it a long time ago, and it's really a very good GUI library. In terms of functionality and convenience, it is better than another GUI library ECURB 2006 in BBS.

But a BUG was found: pressing the DELETE key deletes the entire line of content instead of deleting a single character.

Also, it's not really a bug: the interface is not very good-looking, worse than QBWIN and ecurb, so some small GUI programs still choose QBWIN... Well, this is a matter of仁者见仁，智者见智, everyone has different tastes.

(1) When WinSail was initially designed, pressing "Del" would delete all characters in the edit box. Re - entering all data in the edit box is beneficial for reducing misoperations in industrial sites! Moreover, the division of labor between the "Backspace" key and the "Del" key in the edit box of the Windows operating system is not very clear, which seems to be a waste of keys.

(2) Regarding the GUI of WinSail, the graphics mainly imitate Windows 98, and the font library uses a 16X16 Chinese font library and an 8X8 English font library. Before September 2006, the GUI interface was indeed rather unimpressive. But after that, WinSail made relatively large updates to the interface controls. It imitated Windows controls point by point after magnifying them with the "Magnifier" program in Windows accessories. Now WinSail supports Chinese input methods, and this should be thanked to member "profree" for sending the "Chicago 9" program.


(3) The GUI under DOS mainly uses "dot - matrix" font libraries, while Windows uses "vector" or "TrueType" font libraries. So it is very difficult to say that the interface can surpass Windows, and to be more bold, the possibility of surpassing is almost impossible! What we can do is to try to be as close as possible to "Microsoft", and surpassing "Microsoft" is not the responsibility of our generation!

Found a serious BUG!

The content entered by the CMultiEdit class of the multi-line edit box is always an "empty" string returned by the GetWindowText() function before there is a "carriage return and line feed". Only after there is a "carriage return and line feed" can the GetWindowText() function return the correct string!
