For Linux to become mainstream, first it needs to be as easy to use as Windows, and it needs to have a large amount of software support like Windows, whether it's for games or other software. Just having a graphical interface, can that be enough?

Using the LINUX system is very stable, and it won't have the instability like WINDOWS even after running for a long time. Moreover, the current interface is becoming more and more beautiful, such as: CO共创 LINUX and so on. In terms of office work, it is also relatively convenient, with software like OPENOFFICE. Support it.

Linux is a good operating system, but there is still a long way to go for it to truly gain widespread popularity in China to compete with MS.

The MS system is mainly aimed at entertainment, so its ease of use has been sufficiently developed, including usage, interface, operation, etc. From its development process, old users should remember the crashes of DOS and the blue screens of the WIN series. Only starting from NT4.0 and 2K did its stability begin to enhance. Think about it: how do you feel when the work you spent a day designing is gone due to a crash? MS users finally developed the habit of saving regularly, heh heh.

And other operating systems including Linux, IBM os, Apple, etc. are practical - oriented, so they attach more importance to stability, security, efficiency, etc. Its ease of use is not to be complimented.

Why is Linux difficult to popularize in China? This is related to our national conditions. Think about what most of the time your bought computers are used for? I think mainly for entertainment (this is generally the case among the family computer users around me), and a small amount of work can also be fully handled by the MS system (from this point of view, MS has made some contributions to the popularization of computers in China). The improvement of the ease of use of a system requires a lot of funds and time. And for China's current situation, how many individual users will buy a system that is not very easy to use? Just like how many individual users bought computers in the DOS era? Therefore, it is not difficult to understand that Linux manufacturers all take business use as the market entry point.

However, I still suggest that everyone gradually transition to Linux. I won't go into the reasons much. Just give an example to illustrate: when transitioning from win98 to win me, a function was added, that is, "System Restore" to avoid reinstalling the system when the system crashes. This is a remedy measure launched due to the instability caused by the insufficient design of the system itself. But MS's approach is: patches under win98? No. If you want to use this function. Okay, upgrade. It costs XXX yuan in RMB to upgrade from 98 to win me (I can't remember the specific amount). And disk defragmentation, optimizing the system, cleaning the registry, etc. Oh my god, the registry is the core configuration file of the system. After the system is installed and configured, it is also necessary to clean it irregularly, just like after you buy a house, you still have to regularly spend money to hire someone to repair the problems of the house itself.

The above are my opinions. If there are any inappropriate places, I hope everyone can understand a lot!

I've wanted to install it for a long time, but I have no experience and am afraid of ruining the original XP, heh heh

Linux compared to Windows,
It is indeed stable (I have installed it for nearly a year, Windows has been reinstalled several times, but Linux is as solid as a rock).
The software used in work is more user-friendly on Linux, for example, OpenOffice 10, (among which the formula application has Chinese instructions).
The built-in intelligent pinyin in the system is too easy to use!
The games of Linux are also suitable for use in the workplace.

As for the differences: Windows is more suitable for home use, while Linux is more suitable for the workplace!

I have installed many kinds of Linux, including China's Klin 2.0, but I find it very complicated and can only play games! There are so many games that come with the system! There are not many learning materials about Linux in bookstores! But the Linux on the system boot interface looks very nice! It's not black and white, and it can only be used to form a multi-system to play with. It's impossible to install only Linux as a single system, which is inconvenient.

I have the same idea as the person on the 10th floor. Linux has functions similar to Windows, just that installing software is a bit more troublesome and there are fewer games. Otherwise, it's all right.

Are you really ignorant or pretending?
Now Linux is already very easy to use, and there is not a big gap in ease of use.
It's just that many people are used to Windows and still view problems in Linux with a Windows mindset.
If a person using Linux switches to Windows, they may even feel unable to use it.
How can you use it if you can't open the terminal conveniently?

Did Linux have a graphical interface in the early days? I have a very old notebook and want to try it. I've installed READHAT, but it's not easy to use because it's not configured well and has high requirements for hardware.

Graphical operating systems are an innovation and breakthrough for computers. It is precisely because of them that computers can be as popular as they are now
