Dude, the NTFS4DOS in the boot disk isn't working properly. I'm using a laptop.

I found that using the DIR command under the drive letter of an NTFS - formatted partition causes an infinite loop.

Using ntfsdos/u seems to be able to solve the DIR problem. Have you tried it?
