I have a Genesys GL811E hard drive enclosure, and I installed a Seagate 20G hard drive. But it can't be driven under DOS (I've tried multiple driver programs, some can detect the hard drive but it's not usable). Please help from all the experts. Thanks!!!

Have you tried USBASPI version 2.06 + DI1000DD or GUEST?

Bump, mine is also GL811. I've tried all the methods by Moderator Wengier, unfortunately USB 2.0 doesn't work under DOS.

It seems that most of the driver programs for USB devices under DOS currently available on the Internet only support USB version 1.1. There are few that support USB version 2.0. Maybe I'm not well-informed, and I don't know about the DOS driver programs for USB version 2.0.

It should be workable with the series drivers of asip and ide000.sys. You can try it yourself. This is related to the motherboards of different computers.

I also have a Ruituo mobile hard disk enclosure (domestic), a 1.5G IBM hard disk, and I can't find the driver under DOS, and the motherboard doesn't support USB boot.

Could "Newbie in DOS Era" provide more detailed information, please? Thank you! I know that many people have implemented USB 2.0 drivers under DOS. They used methods like usbaspi.sys + di1000dd.sys, or duse 4.4 or 4.9, as well as usbaspi.sys + aspidisk and so on. But I tried and it all seemed to succeed halfway but then the system froze. My box can start normally under USB 1.1. My motherboard is a EPoX 845G motherboard. I'm looking forward to your advice...

The hard disk of Maxtor 40G in the Changshou brand FR - 628A hard disk enclosure I use wants to be used under DOS, but all the driver programs have been tried without success. This hard disk enclosure is also of USB 2.0. Also, I want to make a CD bootable disk to boot this hard disk enclosure.

Originally, several schemes were referred to but none succeeded, probably related to the support of respective motherboards. I used the combination of usbaspi.sys + aspidisk.sys. Tried usbaspi.sys + di1000dd.sys, which is the so-called golden combination recommended by others but it didn't succeed; later switched to Adaptec's aspidisk.sys and it succeeded.

Thanks to the host of this DOS forum for providing these two files, which are in the DOS 7.1 boot disk.
Since I was just for experimental purpose, so the config task is relatively single.

It is worth noting that after aspidisk.sys was loaded successfully, I didn't get the drive letter information allocated after loading. I accidentally found the drive letter and carried out the transmission test and verified it was successful.

/r3 means to allocate 3 logical drive letters.
Because my hard drive enclosure has three partitions, so I used it like this.
