MLD, after trial, I found that you use deleting sysdm.cpl to solve the virus prompt, but then you can't view system information. Actually, you can modify sysdm.cpl to remove the virus prompt.

Open sysdm.cpl with a hex editor.

Find: 74 18 ff 76 0c 1e 57

Replace: e9 17 00 76 0c 1e 57

This can remove the prompt that the master boot information is modified.

For the current version, it doesn't matter whether the sysdm.cpl file is included or not, as there won't be virus prompts. Not including the sysdm.cpl file was an oversight, not a deliberate deletion. You can definitely include it when packaging again.

Personally, as a mini 98 system, it runs in an environment without loading any hardware, so the significance of viewing system information is not great. Of course, it's fine to have this function.

The following is a quote from lgnddn on 2003-12-21 11:31:40:
Okay, it can boot, but I always feel a bit unsatisfied.
There should be an option during boot,
1. Copy system files to memory for running -> select drive letter
2. Copy system files to hard disk for running -> select drive letter
3. System files already on hard disk -> select drive letter
4. Run directly from CD
In this way, machines with small memory can also run, and the second boot is also faster. Personally, I think the system files on the CD should not be compressed (this should be able to speed up).
I hope you can refer to the above opinions

The first 3 options you mentioned involve technically difficult problems: this system has a fixed drive letter and cannot be selected.
The 4th option of running directly from the CD is possible. Just unzip the compressed package and burn it to the CD, but the menu cannot be loaded.

I downloaded and burned one, it's not bad. Booting is slow, maybe because of copying files, haha. If only it could support NTFS. Or comrade MLD can tell me how to do it, so that I can use this disc to maintain the company's Win2000 system machines, haha. Microsoft should give us such things
还是那样乐观:)

The Final Edition doesn't mean no further improvement is possible, but I have done my best so far, leaving it for future encounters with experts to further enhance!

Is there any consideration to keep the network card driver installation function according to my suggestion?

Good, good, I'll burn a disk later to test. I hope it doesn't fail like last time (Amen).

Finally can download. Burn to CD, the only drawback is that the boot time is too long. Thanks a lot to MLD.

In multi-boot, will there still be no access to drive A? Will the virus prompt be removed? Also, in multi-boot, will accessing the CD drive still prompt illegal operation?

Will there still be issues accessing drive A in a multi-boot setup?
: Resolved.

Should the virus prompt be removed?
: Removed.

Will accessing the optical drive still trigger an illegal operation prompt in a multi-boot setup?
: Can access normally.
