One more question for everyone: for a network under DOS, after the packet driver is loaded, can it be said that the network has already been established? Or should software like microsoft network client be used to set up a peer-to-peer network?
If loading the packet driver can be considered as the network being established, then how should the local machine's IP and gateway and such be set?

forzhanghua, the document you wanted has been sent to your email. After Packet Driver is loaded, it still cannot be considered that the network has already been established. It only provides an interface to the network card, while Wattcp provides a series of functions for dealing with Packet Driver. All network communication has to be completed by the programmer calling these functions himself. Therefore, through Packet Drvier you cannot establish functions like network sharing as in Windows, unless you program and implement them yourself. If you want to build a peer-to-peer network under DOS, you should use software like microsoft network clients or LAN Manager. Both of these are provided on the Windows NT 4.0 Server CD, and for the specific steps you can look at the relevant help documentation.

Also, if you set up a LAN under DOS and want to set the IP, do you have to use related software? Before using wattcp, how should the network be set up?
What is the difference between packet driver and the network card driver we install under Windows?
