There are two possibilities:
1: No EMS memory. Some old games need EMS memory, but current DOS boot disks do not provide it, first because it is rarely used, and second because it can cause other trouble.
2: There is a problem with the game itself! No matter how large the physical memory is, it will not cause DOS itself to think the main memory is very small, but it may cause some individual old DOS games to think the main memory is very small, for example the famous “Chinese Paladin”. But there is a solution for this.
