DOS stands for freedom, openness and progress. Let us work hard, learn from the openness and GNU spirit of FreeDOS and Linux, and together build and grow a free GNU GPL world!

In the future, it will be the world of Vista. Is DOS still useful? No matter what, in the future it must be the world of Vista. I don't know if DOS will still be useful then. Asking everyone for advice, thank you

It's not the same thing. I want to ask, for example, can batch processing be used in Vista, and is it compatible with previous batch processing commands?

I won't argue with you for the time being whether DOS is useful. It's useful if you want to use it, and useless if you don't. But who told you that in the future it will be the world of VISTA? Are all operating systems in the world dead? Just VISTA?!! The earth won't stop turning without VISTA?!!

What Brother forever on floor 8 asked a good question. Who says that Vista will be the dominant one in the future? Up to now, I haven't found any place where Vista is better than XP. Even if there's no XP available, I think installing Linux is no worse than Vista. Basically, I think Vista is a very unsuccessful operating system.

I have used Vista for quite a long time, and I feel that Vista actually uses the cmd command line more frequently than XP. Some steps of graphical interface operations in XP have been removed by Microsoft, and in Vista, you have to use the command line to complete them.

Really? That's good news. It shows that MS values the stability of the system and doesn't implement everything with windows.
Windows is not as stable as Linux, and an important reason is that Windows windows consume resources and lead to instability.
