II. Memory This boot disk uses Emm386 to manage UMB memory, so the free conventional memory is at least about 613K.
The reason is very simple, because I also put the Tianhui Chinese system into UMB.
This is also the reason why I don't use Long Chinese system.
Because I can't put the Long Chinese system into UMB, I don't know if any expert can teach me.
However, I think the Tianhui Chinese system is also very good.
At least there is a free Wubi input method, and the font is much better than the Long Chinese system.
At the same time, the shortcut keys are also more normal than the Long Chinese system.
Need to note that when choosing NTFSDOS in the third menu, the conventional memory is only more than 400K.
There is no way! NTFSDOS really eats up a lot of memory,
And because of the volume relationship, NTFSDOS is a read-only version, only can read not write.
If you need more conventional memory, choose the third item of the second menu.
3. Chinese DOS command line mode with minimal drivers loaded
This can have more than 622K of conventional memory available for use.
III. Tools It needs to be pointed out that most of the tools here are the latest Chinese-ized software.
Fdisk is from WinMe because only it supports new hard disks above 80G.
Win98's Fdisk should retire.
KV3000 is the latest version.
HD-COPY is not the latest.
However, as Niu Yunfei said, the 2.0 version is the best.
IV. Installation Although the functions of this disk are not too complete, they are all very practical, and it is really all in Chinese.
The file uses the Ima file made by WinImage6.10, which can be written to a floppy disk with WinImage6.10.
At the same time, the Ima file can also be directly burned into a bootable CD with nero.
